What can I expect during my piercing appointment?
Your comfort and safety are our top priority. When you come in, one of our piercers will walk you through the process, help you select the right jewelry, and answer any questions before we begin. All piercings are performed with sterile, single-use equipment in a clean and welcoming environment.
Does it hurt?
Every piercing and every person is different, but most piercings are quick and discomfort is minimal. Our experienced piercers work efficiently and will make sure you feel as comfortable as possible throughout the process.

Do I need an appointment?
We welcome both walk-ins and appointments — and we love when you just come in! Walk-ins are always welcome, though booking an appointment is an option if you prefer. Contact us to schedule.
Do you accommodate groups like bachelorette parties or wedding parties?
Absolutely! We love working with groups. Whether it's a bachelorette party or a wedding party, we can coordinate a fun and memorable experience for everyone — including matching jewelry for the whole group.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Is there an age requirement for piercings?
Yes. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and will need to bring a valid birth certificate. A notarized waiver is also required before any piercing can be performed. Not sure where to get it notarized? There are free notary services conveniently located nearby — just ask us and we'll point you in the right direction!

What kind of jewelry do you use?
At Tradecraft Body Piercing, we use only the highest quality materials, including implant-grade titanium and solid gold jewelry. Unlike the standard boardwalk shop, we carry some of the best jewelry companies in the world like Buddha Jewelry, Anatometal, Neometal, BVLA and others. All jewelry is sterilized before use to ensure your safety and comfort.
Why does jewelry quality matter?
Low-quality jewelry can cause irritation, allergic reactions, and longer healing times. Using implant-grade and hypoallergenic materials significantly reduces these risks and promotes healthy healing.

How do I care for my new piercing?
Proper aftercare is essential for healthy healing. We recommend:
Cleaning your piercing twice daily with a sterile saline solution
Avoiding touching your piercing with unwashed hands
Keeping makeup, lotions, and harsh products away from the piercing
Not rotating or twisting your jewelry
We'll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions at the time of your piercing.
How long does it take for a piercing to heal?
Healing time varies by piercing type and individual. Most piercings take anywhere from a few weeks to several months to fully heal. We'll give you a specific estimate based on your piercing and walk you through what to expect.
